The FOMI - Clip holster was designed to be worn anywhere on the belt. The FOMI (Fold Over Mold Injected) clip was designed by a holster maker for use when you are in and out of non-permissive environments and need to be able to take your holster on/off easily (in a vehicle, discreetly).
All of our IWB holsters are designed for everyday comfort and each design is torture tested through multiple training iterations (normally at www.tacticalresponse.com), including force on force training!
We build our IWB holsters with a small footprint for less weight and more conceal-ability. Also, if you have multiple pistols of the same make, just different barrel lengths this holster will fit multiple weapons (specify in the comments during ordering the models you have so we can ensure proper testing).
**Yes we can build a clip holster for outside the waistband (OWB) use, the FOMI clip is designed to be used inside the waistband (IWB), but for smaller guns (glock 42/43, shield) we have had customers that loved the FOMI OWB. If you are looking for this design, then use the contact form for custom work. WE WILL DENY WORK IF WE FEEL THE WEAPON IS TOO LARGE FOR THIS DESIGN**There are some instructors and others in the tactical shooting industry that have voiced concerns around the retention of the FOMI clip for holsters. While the FOMI is NOT a complete capture method like a soft loop, our design incorporates custom molding that enhances the retention of the FOMI to lower the chance of the holster coming out with the weapon during a draw under stress. This DOES NOT mean it can't happen, your holster retention starts with your belt, we recommend SOE EDC belts (these are all we wear daily), your belt is just as important as your gun and holster to the comfort and security of your everyday carry. Our FOMI clip holsters have been used through thousands of rounds of classes and force on force classes with 0 issues. Multiple students (including our Chief Bender) have had great success with them.
Everything we sell is hand-made to order: NOTHING IS IN STOCK.
Our current backlog is 4-6 weeks to ship. This is an estimate, NOT a guarantee.
